Mission Statement

We are an organization dedicated to the proposition that everyone, from neighborhood organizations, to conservation groups, to a small unofficial group surrounding a single issue deserve to at least have their voice heard. We will teach you how to lobby, strategize, work with elected officials, learn government structure and above all get your message heard. We do not deny any group based on their end motives, for in the end the idea can only speak for itself. We are here to make sure everyone has a clear voice and is not unnecessarily deterred by the system itself. National, State, and Local. Rough idea to specific policy. We help with it all.

Who We Are

My name is Dan Block and one day I had an idea. I have worked for elected officials for the last four years, and I began to notice that a lot of what determined if a message or idea became law was based on how a group navigated a system, not based on the merits and effectiveness of the message or idea itself. I however was lucky enough to work for various officials that saw this as a problem. They allowed, and sometimes encouraged, me in my position as the Director of the Bruin Lobby Corps to share all we had learned as an organization and train any local group that wanted in the art of navigating bureaucracy and politics. My idea I had that day was that I did not need to stop sharing and training, something I deeply loved and believed in, just because I was in a new town and a new office. So here I am with a few equally passionate friends willing to come to your board meeting, house, general assembly, office or place of worship and teach you about what I love: being engaged with your government.
